Hello everyone!
I'm a new 22 year old user who is currently in the process of remaking the song "OMG" by New Jeans in my DAW as a means to learn more about the KPOP music production process. I've gotten a bit stumped on how to remake the underlying piano part and what kind of effects might have been used to achieve it. It sounds like to me they used a regular grand piano plug in and added some effects on it but IDK what those might be. From what I can deduce, they pitch bent the piano to make that wooshy sound at the beginning at 0:01.
I've attatched an audio file of what I am referring to below: https://tinyurl.com/y48rddpm
This is what I have managed to recreate so far: https://tinyurl.com/jtg423
I was able to get the underlying synth but the underlying piano part's really stumping me.
And here's the orignial song in case anyone needs any further context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT0Lh-N ... nel=LQKPOP
The song's a banger tbh, but that's besides the point, haha.
Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, feel free to let me know if the links I added to this post doesn't work; never posted on here before so I don't really know much about how this forum works.
Help with identifying how to get this piano sound

Re: Help with identifying how to get this piano sound
Welcome!
I had a very quick listen. It sounds to me like a bright 90's "house"-style piano with gating, i.e. gated to make the sound start and stop abruptly, without the natural decay of a real piano. Your piano sounds too polite and too real.
(Your links work fine.)

Re: Help with identifying how to get this piano sound
Thanks for the input and for letting me know that my links work.
How would I go about making my current piano sound sound more "house style"? I've experimented with gating on the piano but am still stuck on trying to make my piano sound less bright and more like the original track. I'm currently using the EXS 24 plug in on Logic for my piano sound, for context.
I've attatched a link to what my piano now sounds like after experimenting with noise gating: https://tinyurl.com/yc485kss
And here's a screenshot of my current parameters in the EXS 24 plugin. What adjustments can I make to this plug in or otherwise alter in Logic to get closer to that sound?

Re: Help with identifying how to get this piano sound
Don't treat the piano as a piano, treat it as a synth sample, chop off the percussive start and play around with the envelope - especially the attack and release times. Given the age, it may just possibly be a Korg M1 but our lad's Yamaha PSR E-403 would get close by playing around with the envelope controls.
