I put 2 songs in my music website: "Looking Forward" is the song on top, and "Welcome to Planet Progression" is the next song down. Please tell me how you like the music, and how it can be improved, and I will return the favor (leave me a link). Here is my link:

It's sort of OK, the mix seems ok. But I'd go for a bit more variety, throw something in that makes the listener say to themselves - "Well I wasn't expecting that" However that is easier said than done, if just tossed in for the sake of it, the 'surprise' sounds contrived. I suppose this is what separates the truly exectional performers/writers from the rest of us. They manage to get that something in there that makes the listener anticipate/look forward to that element in a tune that makes it that bit special. If you know what I mean. I suppose if you stick at it and be as prolific as ever, you might just stumble across that something special. I have been listening to a series on interviews with those that have written at least one hit, some have written many. BUt in almost every case, they came across the lick, that chord progression, the ear worm almost by accident everytime. However once they'd played it, they knew how to exploit it, in a musical sense of course. I am often reminded of the Beatles, just one word would be enough - Help, Yesterday, Michelle, Imagine....etc could us ordinary mortals just pick a random word out the dictionarty and turn in into a classic pop hit? Imagine that! ....Perhaps?

Interesting stuff. The vocals are highly stylized, almost punk-rock like. Well produced and mixed (as far as I could tell on cell phone speakers).

Here is some of my stuff...

One World,
Thank you for listening & commenting, I appreciate it! If you have music you want me to review, leave me a link.

Philbo King,
Thank you for checking out my tunes and for your reply! I appreciate it. Now listening to your song "Burns Too Bright": has kind of a 60's/70's vibe. Intro remind me of the Doors (both the Doors and me, on different dates played at Gazzarri's in Hollywood). Some compression might beef up your audio a bit; U-he Presswerk works better than anything else I have tried. Nice song! "Lady of The Bayou": I like the swampy sound effects. Guitar sounds trippy; and like the guitar harmonics. I actually snorkeled with manatees once in Florida, in a swampy area. Even petted one. Unusual experience. Cool song!
