Hi - seems I have little choice but to upgrade my iMac to a 2023 24" with either two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports or pay an extra £200 for two additional USB3 ports.
I've got a need for at least three USBA ports so my question is, what sort of USB extension box should I be looking at as either option seems a little 'underported'?
Thanks.

Re: Daft iMac ports question
My MacBook Pro has only 2 USB C/TB ports, and I have a dock/extender off one of them giving me USB C power a 2nd USBC/TB port, HDMI, 2 USB 3 (A style sockets) and an SD CArd Reader.
One of the USB A ports on the dock has an 8 port USB hub which sorts out my keyboard MIDI, the Alesis wireless MIDI, and my film scanner. All seems to work just fine
The other port is dedicated to my Audient Audio interface

I use this:

or this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WPTG7NX
depending on the situation. Then any decent USB type A hub if I need more of them.
